Chapter 8

New Life for All

Ella ran for her carriage, midnight fast approaching. She thought she left Prince Michael behind, but he was in behind her. She couldn’t stop to talk him out of it, she had to get to the carriage and be off. She saw her carriage, her footman waiting impatiently for her, the driver already in place, holding back the snorting steads. But, behind her carriage was another carriage. She was just about there and she had enough time to get out before Prince Michael would see her disappear in a cloud of smoke.

“Grab her!” Michael shouted out to his four footmen that stood behind the carriage.

She was suddenly pounced upon by four men, and from the sound of the voice, it was Prince Michael that ordered it. She struggled, but she was no match for four strong men. “I must go, Prince Michael, please,” she begged.

“Put her in my carriage as I instructed you,” Michael told his men as he walked over to her carriage.

They manhandled her with ease, and she soon found herself swinging through the air and inside the carriage. It was spacious and well-appointed with the finest of fabrics. It had to be Prince Michael’s carriage. She heard voices outside, but she was too busy trying to fight off his men. She was pushed into the seat, and one man sat on the bench seat on each side of her. They pulled her arms up into the air, and then, she saw them. There were two leather cuffs, one on each side with shiny buckles, out of place in the carriage of a prince. The men quickly secured her wrists in the leather cuffs and secured the buckles until her wrists were bound tight. The other two men were at her feet, and they took liberties with her that was uncalled for. They pushed up her dress as they grabbed her naked ankles. She struggled and tugged on the cuffs that held her arms, but she grew tired quickly. As soon as the two men began to part her legs, her strength came back as she tried to kick out at them. They expected it and succeeded to use her own momentum to betray herself, pulling her ankles wide in opposite directions as though they were trying to split her up the middle. “No, NO!” she cried out as she felt leather cuffs go around her slim ankles. She was sure that Prince Michael didn’t tell them to do that. She hoped he’d open up the door any second now and scold them for their disrespectful behavior.

“Relax and it’ll go easier, M’lady,” one of the men told her as she struggled, but it didn’t do any good.

It felt like her crotch was split up the middle as they tugged her legs in opposite directions. She felt them hold her still as they fumbled with the cuffs. The leather straps went tightly around her ankles, and then, her ankles were released. She struggled to close her legs, but she was effectively spread open with no chance of closing them.
